All you have to do is go to our home page and lodge a search in the domain search box.

You will be then told whether the domain is available or not. If it's available, then you may continue with the order, if not, please search again.

*I have my domain, now I need web hosting!?*

Purchasing a domain name is well, just that, purchasing a licence over the domain name, and the right to point it to a server. So, once you've purchased your domain, the next logical step is to purchase hosting.

*How do I recover my username and password?*

Please go to http://getdomains.system.net.au/manage/ and enter either your domain name or email address into the password recovery field.
Your username and password will be sent to the registrant contact for the domain, or the listed email of the member. If either of these are NOT correct, and you CANNOT remember your password, then you will need to fax us a declaration on your company (or other) letterhead, requesting your username and password be updated and then forwarded to a new email address.
This document must be signed by an authorised representative of the domain and the company (if registered in a company name).
Please note, if you have multiple members with the same email address, only the details of the member created first will be sent out. In this case please enter the specific domain name, or contact one of our staff at help@getdomains.com

*My Nameservers won't update.*

Do you get "Invalid Nameservers" at the top of the screen when redelegating your domain? This could be for one of a couple of reasons.

Are the nameservers you're delegating to active hosts? If you're delegating your .au domain, there's a chance your nameservers have not yet been added to the .au registry. In this circumstance, please notify us.

If you're certain you have valid hosts, yet our system still wont accept your domain. First check that you're entering the IP address. If it still fails, well, it's probably best you contact us.

*What domain name is best for me?*

Every domain name has it's own unique purpose. Below we'll run you through the benefits of each name:

.com.au
The ideal namespace for Australian commercial entities. It is reserved for Australian entities with a valid ABN, ACN, Registered Business Number or Incorporated Association Number.
>>>Our Advice: If your business name is available in the .com.au space, it's a must have. This is truely Australia's premier space with over 200,000 registered.

.net.au
A great secondary namespace to .com.au, it has the same eligibility criteria as .com.au, and has generally been associated with the IT related sites in the past.
>>>Our Advice: If your .com.au is unavailable, this is a great alternative. If you've already registered your .com.au, you may wish to secure your .net.au for furture use. It's no good to you if someone else owns it!

.org.au
This domain space is reserved for Australian Not for profit incorporated entities. Great if your a registered charity, or not for profit group. It also happens to be the cheapest namespace on the market.

.asn.au

The only non-personal Australian name that does not require a registered commercial entity for registration. This is perfect for Associations, church groups and sporting clubs.

.id.au
The perfect namespace for individuals.
